	nodiggety says: 11/17/2008	Hi Savvy... I have a group of rooms held at Staybridge Suites (we're called Forty 'n Fly) for the Essence weekend (check in Friday - check out Monday). The rate is $644 for the entire weekend w/tax (just $161 per person if you can find 3 roommates) which is really unbeatable at that time of year. Not on the strip but close enough to walk (across the street from Harrahs). The rooms are jr. suites with a kitchen. I have to book 10 rooms or we lose the great rate so let me know if you're interested!
	savvynlady says: 10/21/2008	Since New Orleans is like 200 or so miles from me, what I plan to do is save up my dollars monthly and buy my ticket(s) in advance. check on hotel rooms, car rentals, ask anyone in advance if they want to go. reserve hotel rooms like by December with deposit. figure out spending cash, perhaps other places to visit while there. I really would love to check out the lectures, seminars and Marketplace that they have each year. I heard they are just as great as the music. Perhaps check out a few eateries and work IT!!!

As I was checking out some things, I found a travel agency that offered a hotel package to the Festival, and I plan to contact them about that because it started this month; And I know I am a bit late, but I am hopeful. I really want to do this.
