	mksabrina says: 08/30/2008	This is so easy to do, I can't believe I didn't start donating blood sooner! I have always had trouble with nurses finding my veins at the hospital for blood tests, so I was a little hesitant at first, but the staff at the Red Cross know what they're doing and never try to "poke and dig" as some people do. It only stings for a few seconds when they first put the needle in, and after that you kinda forget it's there while they're collecting blood. Some people feel light headed after donating, which is why they tell you to sit and eat cookies for 15 minutes before you leave. Also, I have several tattoos, and although I can't remember if there are rules about waiting or how long you are supposed to wait, I haven't had a problem so far. They go over a bunch of recent medical/travel/misc. history to make sure you're not at risk for diseases that may not show up yet in tests, and if you are they'll send you home & tell you when you can come back & what you can do in the mean time. 	Anonymous says: 10/09/2007	Sometimes you can donate blood at local highschools. I currently attend highschool and I've realized that a lot of people dont know that you can donate blood there. Although I'm scared, I'm doing it this year. Does it hurt or make you feel weird?
	DaveCharlie says: 03/05/2007	yes, i must do this regularly. everytime the opportunity has arisen recently though I've recently been sick - what are the limitations on giving blood, ie. what sicknesses can't you have had recently and is it true that you can't have been tattooed either?

	beachlover says: 01/27/2007	This would be so easy for you to do! Call the American Red Cross for an appointment and in just 1 visit you could save three lives! Talk about making an impact and leaving the world a better place! Do it regularly and you could save a dozen people a year! What a hero!

	tenniskimmer says: 06/10/2007	just do it! its so easy to do! it doesn't even really hurt. when they stick the needle in at first it will sting, but then after that it doesn't hurt. i always feel good after i've donated blood. because 1 pint of blood that you donate can save up to 3 lives! that is so amazing! so just do it!
