I always feel that I need to have some kind of justification to indulge myself in such seemingly pointless acts. So, I made a film for my boyfriend's birthday that showed me blowing up all of these balloons (sped up of course!) and composed a piece of music for the soundtrack. The guy at the balloon shop told me that I couldn't blow up that many balloons by myself in one day (632), but I am a flute player so I ignored him and I made it. But it did take me all day. They made a great noise when I tried to wade through them all. Definitely worth it. But they scared the living daylights out of me when the occasional one popped for no reason.
