Last night I went to the only silent movie theater in the US. The experience exceeded my expectations by FAR.

There were several movie shorts including an early cartoon, The Bakery from 1921 (an awesome slapstick movie), and a delightful Clara Bow film "Dancing Mothers" from 1926.

Several people in the audience dressed up from the period, and overall there was great energy.

Bob Mitchell is now 94 and has been playing piano for 90 years, many at this VERY theater. He improvises on the piano and organ to accompany all films and was simply delightful.

Whether you are visiting Los Angeles or live there I highly recommend visiting this original silent movie theater while you can! Tickets are only $10 and $5 for seniors for a lot more entertainment value than you get from most movies today.
