Two-three handfuls fresh beans
One stick free pan
Start on Medium-High then lower to medium heat after 3/4 minutes.
Quarter cube butter
Cabernet Sauvignon pour some in to help keep mixture liquid- just about a tablespoon at a time.
quarter cup suger or honey
Soy Sauce use the same as the wine
Cocoa powder unsweetened ***** one and a half tablespoons
Let mixture slow boil, you are carmalizing the sugar
Keep stirring mixture with a flat plastic utinsel
If you like mushrooms, add some, I'm sure they would be good as well with the beans. They aren't my preference unless fried.
Make sure the mixture almost gets black and that the beans get somewhat wrinkley and lighter looking. When it is done, the sauce will be thick, carmel-like, and you can scoop it over the beans when you put it on the plate. It will want to slide of the beans while it is cooking.
I found it rather addictive and I never cook a recipe more than once, so I am likely to forget this one. Have it with my blessing.
