My Favorite So Far
if i knew i would succeed, i’d answer back when bureaucracy seemed pointless. i would stop hiding the office romance that my heart tells me is the one, and i would take the stares and criticism with a smirk. i’d chase the one i now pussyfoot around with my heart in my mouth, trying not to scare him off, with the words of self-help dating websites doing the hoopla in my head. i’d ask him to divorce the woman he left for “freedom” and pursue a future with me, and i would build that future grand and tall and work and live and laugh and love. i would take the chance to travel knowing my family will be safe and well and in good health when i return, and i would never keep my feelings to myself but shout them loud knowing they will be returned.
