Read about people from all walks of life who have “retired” from day-to-day work, in Can You Afford Extreme Early Retirement?
The article interviews people of all ages, from different walks of life. A commonality is “they share an excitement about their lives, a desire to spend time in pursuits that are meaningful to them, and often, an environmental conscience.”
I personally think the concept of “retirement” should be retired except to refer to leaving a long-term job that has a retirement age or pension. Otherwise, isn’t it really just a lifestyle or career change? The less dramatic “title” you use to describe your lifestyle change, the easier it will be to accomplish!
