SuperViva helping people do what they’ve always wanted to do

This has been a good week for good news related to SuperViva .

GoldninerJason, who has one of the biggest life lists on SuperViva, sent me this great photo.

He always wanted to have a family and enjoy his kids, which he’s doing here in his SuperViva tshirt!

Then someone sent me this amazing story about how SuperViva has fundamentally changed her life. Read how making a life list has been an antidote to depression:

“I’d like to take a moment to tell you how much I love superviva and how much it has helped me. I suffer from severe depression, which I have for 6 years and most recently public panic disorder. This has made leaving the house and doing things I enjoy almost as impossible as visiting the antarctic. Since finding superviva I have found it easier to get up and motivated in a morning, I am always unsure what the day will bring but you can guarantee it is fun and productive. I have managed to stay off antidepressants and feel like I have made the most progress towards recovery in the entire 6 years.

Since joining I have created 4 websites, put the initial steps into starting a home business, started a community newsletter and enrolled on that life coaching course I’ve always wanted to do! I don’t really know why superviva helps, I guess that having it written down in one place where I can acceess from anywhere and it won’t get lost/forgotten about/drawn on by the kids, means I visit it throughout the day and it is always in my mind. I also love how it makes you realise all the great things you already have acheived in life such as swim with dolphins and get married and have children.

Although I feel like at the moment I really need to concentrate on those types of goals that help you discover yourself, eventually I’d like to use superviva to help me realise much bigger dreams and maybe I will visit the antarctic!”

I hope after reading this you will help me spread the word about SuperViva, donate or sponsor the site. (email me to chat)

A Goal to Be On Good Morning America Turns Into a Serenade by Diana Ross!

A friend and avid dreamer, who makes the most of her life by setting goals, awoke at 4am to wait in line at Good Morning America in New York with me and her two kids. What happened just goes to show it’s often the unplanned things that are the most memorable…

Who knew that my goal to be on Good Morning America would surpass my wildest dreams: Sitting 6 feet away while Diana Ross performed songs from her new CD, released today, such as ever so romantic The Look of Love.

Add a goal to be on Good Morning America and Today Show to your life list!

Read the chain of events that led up to this once in a lifetime experience.

Step 1: Put your goals on your life list, no matter how wild.

Xiomara set a goal on her life list to be on TV. My goal was to be on Good Morning America, with hopes of spreading the word about how a life list can help you do amazing things.

Step 2: Do it.

I requested tickets from Good Morning America. Luckily the show date coincided with some other reasons I needed / wanted to be in New York. I checked my life list for New Yorky things I wanted to do, and combined several goals into this trip including a bagel quest. It was exciting that Xiomara’s daughter had a goal to "be president" on her sign.

We made reservations then stood in line until 7am, thankful for the mild winter weather, watching Diana Ross practice songs from her new CD, I Love You, inside.

We got inside, thrilled by our stage-side seats. Tension mounted among the die-hard fans. The kids’ boredom melted away with the fast-paced action of this live production.

You can feel it in these pics…

Get I Love You on CD or from
Diana Ross - I Love You

P.S. In case it wasn’t obvious, that was my friend’s son who Diana Ross serenaded. Those few seconds of unexpected beauty—Diana Ross singing "The Look of Love" to this little boy—made the entire trip and effort worthwhile.

Always wanted to try the best coffee in New York?

src=”http://farm1.static.flickr.com/137/355308937_db8311d284_m.jpg” title=”blue spoon coffee photo” alt=”blue spoon coffee photo” align=”left” height=”180″ hspace=”15″ width=”240″ />I do love Gorilla Coffee Roasters in Brooklyn but when you’re in downtown Manhattan, check out Blue Spoon.

It’s a nice pick me up after a hard day at Century 21. On your way stop at Evelyn’s Chocolates for a chocolate-covered maple pecan marshmallow. 4 John St., nr. Broadway; 212-267-5170.
New York Magazine says: forty-year-old Wall Street source for old-school confections like Coconut Haystacks and homemade Chunkys. What to try: Heavenly Hash, a chocolate-drenched smorgasbord of marshmallow nuts, dried fruits, and whatever else is lying around the kitchen.
