I heard about this brillian program on NPR: "Promoting Marriage to Reduce Poverty."
"…couples completed a five-month class in how to be a couple — how to build a life together. None of them is married yet, but they all have children."
It’s nice to see "The federal government is funding programs like this across the country." Imagine the decline in wrong marriages that shouldn’t be and increase in successful marriages. I hope this concept extends to people of all socioeconomic statuses as well.
It’s interesting to think that you need a license to get married, a license to drive, a license to practice certain professions. But you don’t need a license to have children which is perhaps the most important thing you need to be good at. I’m excited about this program and the positive effects it will have on so many people.
