Excuse the Olde English but it was too appropriate.
For a while now I’ve had a goal to see the Foo Fighters on my list.
Yesterday I noticed that they were playing that very night in a small venue. But bummer, it was sold out. I decided to check Craigslist for spare tickets. (In the bay area, "check Craigslist" is the punchline to almost every sentence starting with "I’m looking for…")
Instead of buying tickets, I looked for people who needed someone to accompany them to the show. I could not contain my excitement when a fellow fanatic offered me a spare 2nd row center ticket. We met at the theater, where not only did we enjoy one of the most incredible concerts ever but I got a guitar pick to inspire me to learn Everlong in my second round of guitar classes.
Some people thought meeting a guy so spontaneously was daring. But when you’re meeting someone in a public place who loves the same band, to me that’s as safe as it gets. Music is the universal language of happiness!
I aspire for SuperViva to one day be able to match dream weavers together with dream wishers. Perhaps this blog can match you with me, if you want to help with that?!
Life is good. And if it’s not, make it so.
