This morning may have served the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen in the Bay Area. Hot pink where the sun rose, the rest of the sky had burning pink scattered around in all directions. Not only that, the pink light reflected off the many mirrored buildings, creating a neon frenzy of color.
Before sunrise, I noticed the dark gray sky in the distance, broken by swirls of white light. It was like a reversal of what you normally see - a white sky with swirls of grey clouds. This started a truly incredible morning.
As I walked down the street everyone seemed occupied running to the train, getting on the bus or off. I stopped on the sidewalk with a huge grin looking in all directions to see how the sky was changing and hoped to see another nut like me. I didn’t, but I hope the next time colors rise from the east you will joining me in stopping to let them paint you over and revel in the moment.
